Technology will save us – #futureinventors

January 26, 2016

There is something so satisfying about building something useful.

It also helps when the packaging is as cool as this. If you are anything like me you will forget to water your plants constantly, so much so that my mum once bought me a set of plastic cacti as a joke…because I killed the last one that was alive. Yup I am not good at plants, so when I saw this DIY thirsty plant kit from Technology will save us I knew I had to give it a go, it’s basically like lego with wires! I knew I had to give it a go, it’s basically like lego with wires! For #futureinventors obviously.

Ok so maybe a little bit more complex than lego, I did need a little help from my other half but building this was so much fun that I can’t wait to try another, maybe all by myself this time! Perfect for when you are worried about over watering, this little baby is solar powered and works with the plants individual needs. It has a sensor that tells you when your plants need some water so you can’t go wrong! It’s also good for someone who never knows how much water a specific plant needs, like what do you mean a spider plant and an orchid need a different amount of water?!

If you don’t have any plants or can actually look after them properly without the aid of a machine (don’t judge me) don’t fret, Technology will save us have tonnes of DIY kits perfect for the inner scientist, or the budding inventor! My two favourites have to be the DIY speaker Kit and the DIY synth kit, at least I know what I’ll be getting all of the kids (big and small) in my family for Christmas for the foreseeable future! #futureinventors

Happy building.
