IOLLA eyewear – a review of the coolest new eyewear store

A few weeks ago I was invited to the launch of a new eyewear store, Iolla. The concept is simple, beautiful eyewear for less. Now less does not cheap, all these frames are designed and assembled in Scotland using the highest quality raw materials, all they have done is streamline the process. You can create an account at and add your selected glasses to your try on list, the if you are lucky enough to be in the Glasgow area all you need to do it pop in and try them on! Remember to take your prescription with you so you can get the correct lenses for them. If you are not a Glasgow resident they will deliver them straight to your door, wherever you are in the UK! What could be easier?

Starting from only £65 these babies are a complete bargain and with a plethora of frames to chose from you won’t be left wanting! Whether you want normal frames or some sunnies Iolla has you covered. Not only do they have amazing glasses the store itself is beautiful, a very relaxing environment to shop for eyewear and not an optician in sight!
I must admit I fall in love quite easily, and these frames are no exception. I knew as soon as I saw them that I had to have them, now I know what your thinking, “she doesn’t need glasses?!” no no I don’t but you think I’m going to let something as trivial as that get in my way? Of course I’m not! I have already been teased relentlessly by my work but I do not care if I’m “one of those guys”, I’m in love with these glasses and nothing will stop me, not even 20/20 vision…I can be a little single minded can’t I? Anyway! The frame is called Muir and comes in a variety of colours but the smoke tortoise has to be my favourite, they will add anti glare to your clear frames so that when you snap your new glasses they look totally real, even if you are just faking it.
These trousers must be on of my all time favourite sale purchases but I never seem to wear them, I have no idea why. They go perfectly with this cream vintage top and grey clutch, all topped off with my baby blue tasselled dream shoes! I really like this look with the glasses, I feel very chic, anyone know of any jobs going at Vogue in Paris? I could totally work there in this outfit. No? Oh sorry I meant to say Non, I’ll need to brush up on my French!
So now we have the million dollar question….do you like my glasses?

Love your outfit and your hair looks amazing like that. I was so close to getting the same frames but I don't think I suited them as much as you and Sherri. Can't wait to get my Pattersons in the post x

Lou Lou, I cant wait to see them on you!

Anon….kind of what I'm pointing out in the post? Why shouldn't we be able to wear them? This whole stigma has to go, glasses are a fashion accessory and one day I probably will need them to read, but for now I'm just going to rock a cat eye like theres no tomorrow <3
