Vegan Beauty Box

Vegan Beauty Box
Beauty boxes are fast becoming THE thing to have and with so many to choose from it can be a nightmare to navigate, I did have a subscription to a mainstream beauty box a couple of years ago but it just wasn’t up to scratch, most of the items in it ended up being perfume samples and after a years worth of subscribing, a load of sachets and 10ml samples I cancelled it. What I was looking for was a Vegan Beauty Box.

And then I stumbled across The Vegan Kind. Now this is a beauty box with a difference, not only is everything vegan and cruelty-free, most of it is from small businesses and you know how I love to shop local. There are also no pesky tiny samples in sight! Now not only do they do amazing vegan beauty, they also do a vegan lifestyle box that’s predominately food, and that’s definitely something I can get behind! So here is my review of my first vegan beauty box.
Who doesn’t love a bath? I like to indulge a couple of times a week and whilst that might sound excessive to some of you a 30-minute soak with just your thoughts is a good way to relieve stress and relax. And what better way to do it than with a teabag in your bath?! Containing organic hand-picked lemon balm and lavender this bio degradable tea bag is every green goddess’ dream, and trust me when you get out of this scented bath and crawl into bed you will have the sweetest dreams.

To use run your bath, halfway through pop one of these beauties in, let the tub fill up and then step in and soak. Leaving the bag in depending on how strong you like your brew.

This is saving my skin at the moment. It’s not winter but it’s certainly not spring and it’s playing havoc with my skin. A gentle cleanser is that one thing that’s near on impossible to find, let me introduce you to White Rabbit Skincare. Handmade in Scotland this little tub packs a punch! Use a pea-sized amount, rub all over your dry face (yes even on your eyes!), work into your makeup, even waterproof mascara stands no chance! Get a warm damp facecloth and wipe off the balm, repeat until all gone, rinse your face, pat dry and voila! Fresh Faced Beauty.

I’ve never been a fan of a face scrub, my skin is super sensitive and it doesn’t always end well. Mild dermabrasion face and body scrub is a little too intense to use on my face but it’s worked wonders on the rest of me! Scaly legs be gone and a tiny amount of this stuff goes a long way so get in the shower, scrub up and rinse off for some silky smooth skin.

If you follow me on Twitter you will already have seen me raving about these! In my experience nail varnish remover wipes don’t work, you need like 7 to take one nail off, but no more! These babies from Fresh Therapies are toxin free and smell citrusy and sweet and one little sachet takes off all 10 nails! Perfect for holidays, work emergencies and when you just can’t be bothered using liquid remover.

Moisturise Moisturise Moisturise, the rest of your skin needs as much TLC as your face and this oil based body butter from Olivia is a whipped dream. Made from coconut oil and avocado oil to name a few it’s nourishing, soothing and it smells bloody fantastic. If you keep it in the bathroom it goes all foamy and creamy and is super fun to play with but that way it’s very easy to overuse so keep in a cool room and take it to the shower with you. It’s more of a solid that way but you’ll use less to the same effect. Use on freshly dried skin and remember that it’s oil based so it takes quite a while to dry. The rose scented body butter is on my wishlist as is their Bois de Rose soap because it looks like a big slice of cake.
So I may be addicted, new cruelty free beauty straight to my door monthly without having to double check credentials and ingredients is a gift that I just can’t say no to. Check out this Vegan Beauty Box & let me know your thoughts.

This sounds like such a nice beauty box! I eat a lot of vegan food and I want to try and change to more vegan/organic beauty products as well. Love the sound of the moisturiser.
