Fancy a dip in a pool surrounded by breathtaking Scottish Scenery?
Stobo Castle is nestled in the Scottish borders, surrounded by rolling hills, forest, and rivers. When I say it’s a tranquil paradise I’m not exaggerating. You can sit in the pool and watch nature unfold around you, take a wander down to the Japanese gardens or forget your worries in an outdoor hot tub.
As breathtaking as the pool is, the rest of the spa is a sight to behold. Lounge in some pod chairs, eat amazing food in tartan decked restaurants, or just chill out in the living room…which is attached to the most perfect bathroom you’ve ever seen! The toilets have heaters, washers, dryers and enough buttons to make a Japanese toilet envious.
We couldn’t come to Stobo castle without trying an array of treatments, I opted for the mind body and soul water massage (you HAVE to try it) followed by an express brightening facial. The water massage is an experience, I’m not going to say more because I feel like I may ruin it if it do, so just take my word that you need to have one. The facial left my skin soft and clean, and after a trip to the sauna I felt very refreshed!
We rounded off the trip with a thermal experience, this was an array of different steam rooms, saunas, tropical showers, ice baths and temperate rooms. It’s safe to say we were left feeling cleansed, relaxed and glowing inside and out.
If there’s one regret I have it’s not staying over night!

The looks like absolute heaven. I’ve been wanting to visit Stobo for ages but I always find that it’s a little out my price range. The setting looks so tranquil. I think after the baby’s born I might treat myself, even if it’s just for a few hours.

This looks so beautiful! The views are amazing – I’ve often found spas to be a bit stuffy and yellowey inside so it’s lovely how much natural light there is 🙂 Definitely adding it to the bucket list…
