Gift ideas for Mum this Christmas

When you get older you realise that gift giving is quality over quantity not the other way around. Thoughtful presents you actually think the other person will love, something that they would want but never buy for themselves. My Mum is one of the hardest people to buy for, basically because I want to spoil her rotten but not break the bank! I’ve compiled a list of my top gifts for under £200 for the lady that needs spoiled, whether it’s your Mum, Aunt, Mother in Law, Sister or BFF.

My Mum LOVES the scent of Lavender, so instead of just getting her one thing that smells divine why not two! The Luxury gift kit (£9.95) is made up of 4 moisturising products that will make bathtime considerably more fun. The Reed Diffuser (£22) will make the house smell lovely in a pretty short period of time and it’s clear glass so no worries about it clashing with the curtains!

I don’t know about you but I LOVE listening to my mums old records! The only downfall is her record player is a throwback from the 80’s, in other words so not cool! This year I’m planning on getting her this super cute update from Crosley (£69) The baby blue has to be my favourite although it does come in other colours. The case is made from Faux Leather so is completely Vegan friendly, it has three speeds plus it comes with a headphone jack for those times when you just want to be alone with your favourite musician.

If you follow my instagram you will have noticed that I just got back from Marrackech, I’ve fallen in love with Morocco and this is the perfect post trip pampering gift! What makes it even better is that you can make it into a girls day out…which is basically like buying yourself a present, win win right? The  Moroccan Hamman Maroc at Harrods Urban Retreat day spa is a step into another culture, pampering, relaxing and luxurious it will transport your from London’s busy streets, unwind surrounded by the scents of rose and oud. With treatments starting at £125 it’s a day out you don’t want to miss.

I’m not really a fan of a diffuser, but this electronic baby from Arran Aromatics (£60) is so subtle you hardly notice it in the house, plus it takes about 3 minutes to make a room smell fantastic! It comes with two essential oils (nutmeg embers has to be my favourite) but you can pop any essential oil you like in there, just think of your house smelling like botanical flowers in the spring, freshly cut grass in the summer and spiced pumpkin in the autumn…it’s the gift that keeps on giving!

You all know how much I love shopping local at Christmas and Helen Ruth Scarves have just released a new collection that has me swooning. Inspiration for this collection came from Scottish Folklore and I am head over heels in love with this Daughter of the Picts silk Twill ScarfDaughter of the Picts silk Twill Scarf. A Scottish girl at heart I love nature and all the mythology that surrounds the history of this dear green country, plus the illustrations in this scarf are just stunning! At £155 these aint cheap but it is something that will last forever, if you know anyone into folklore and fairy tales this is the perfect gift for them!
