Cruelty free spotlight – Pure Spa

August 4, 2016

Pure Spa is one of the leading day spas in Scotland, specialising in well being & skin care their move into home skin care is a natural progression.

Most spa treatments at home are either full-blown complex treatments or they focus on one thing, the Pure Spa range is the opposite, not only is it insanely easy to use, it comes in a small range of targeted & multi-purpose products…did I mention the packaging is insanely cute too?

As a holistic skincare range that wants to create that spa feel whilst in the home I thought it best to ask the Pure Spa Team a few questions…

Was being cruelty-free always on the agenda for Pure Spa Skin?

“It was a conscious decision that the PURE Skin Care range would not be tested on animals. It was a very important part of use creating the all-natural range.”

Do any of the products contain animal ingredients?

“All of the PURE Skin Care range is vegan-friendly.”

If you had to pick one hero product what would it be?

“The star of the collection for me would have to be the PURE regenerate & boost, eye serum. It has an amazing aromatic blend of antioxidant actives and clinically proven anti-ageing ingredients including retinyl.”

So far I am in love with the range, I have been using the cleanser, toner & moisturiser religiously for three weeks & my skin is noticeably softer & brighter. The cleanser contains jojoba oil and is perfect for taking makeup off at the end of the night, it doesn’t leave your skin oily and it takes off everything! I only use this to take off my make up at night, in the morning I just use cold water & a clean damp muslin cloth to cleanse my face.

Toners are usually multi-purpose but this takes it to the next level, as well as toning & refreshing throughout the day you can use it TO SET YOUR MAKE UP! And it really works! I was really impressed by this product and a little goes a long way meaning your bottle will last ages. Now the hydrate & renew face oil has to be my favourite of the entire collection. My skin is super sensitive most of the time & this has really helped to calm down redness & help moisturise. I admit I was a little dubious about using an oil on my face morning & night but it’s not oily at all but if you are prone to blemishes they do have a regulate & clear face oil that is specifically made for blemished & oily skin.

All in all, I am in love with this range, I can’t wait to see what’s next from Pure Spa.
