windswept and grey

I don’t know if anyone will ever understand the necessity of layers like the Scots. In the space of these photos being taken it went from sunny and quite mild, to raining, to a little bit of snow and gale force winds. Nothing like a few seasons in a few minutes to wake you up! Layers have become second nature to me, most days I have a leather jacket underneath my coat and a hat in my bag….because an umbrella just cant cut it sometimes.

Since moving house I’ve managed to misplace quite alot of my clothes, I know they are in the house….I just don’t know which box/cupboard/drawer they’ve been hidden in! Whilst looking for a pair of ladders in the boiler room I noticed a rather large pile of coats, and on top of this was my cape! I completely forgot I had it and as far as I’m concerned it’s like getting a new one. A cape works with anything, they are so easy to wear and add an instant touch of glamour. I teamed mine with a cropped PU jacket from Miss Selfridges (layers upon layers). To add a little pattern and texture I added my new (amazing) Abandon Ship Apparel tshirt and a textured pencil skirt. To match my current mood I opted for this Zara bag…It’s amazing, I mean embossed white on white that reads ‘STRESSED’? LOVE
I think It may be my new favourite bag (just don’t tell my other bags ok?)
