I LOVE food, seriously love it. Sitting down over a meal and connecting with people. Food brings people together….as cheesy as that sounds! I guess this is why I had such an issue choosing my wedding caterer. We didn’t want a traditional three course meal, we wanted something people could share, chat over and enjoy! We were struggling to find anyone who understood our vision and I was starting to freak out a little (ok A LOT).
Then we found Lazy Sunday Catering. As soon as I spoke to Carole I knew she understood, what’s more she seemed really excited! We discussed menu and the logistics of what we were attempting and then, we got to go to Carole’s beautiful home on the seaside for a tasting session…safe to say I was very excited!
The tiny village was adorable, there was a church and a little graveyard by the sea with the best views! We had a little wander before we went in to get some sea air, it was a wee bit windy so we didn’t spend too long outside. Carole was welcoming and her home is adorable, we sat at the table and Carole served the tasters. We were blown away. I expected it to be good but we ate and ate and even though I was full I wanted more! Home made bread, feta salad, chicken wings (the other half’s fav), roast potatoes on sticks, beetroot pate, baked goats cheese tart, halloumi kebabs and so many other things I can’t begin to explain. I am sure the food on the day will be as excellent as the tasting session and I cant wait to share Carole’s food with my nearest and dearest <3
