The best Bakery in Glasgow?

There’s no better way to start the day than with fresh flowers and cakes.

Bakery 47 is THE place to go for all things cake related. Combine that with fantastic coffee (my Mum assures me it’s good, I can’t stand the stuff!) and beautiful flowers you get a winning combination.

The cakes are unbelievably good, there are no words to describe them, each with their own label stating if they are gluten free or vegan it makes for extremely easy cake shopping. The location in the southside is small, with very limited seating. Most people do come in for a take out instead of sitting in and this is probably because they don’t just do cakes! Pastries and more importantly fresh home made bread is on the menu, with everything from sourdough to wholemeal loaf it’s easy to see why there is a queue outside the door most mornings! Remember to get down early to avoid disappointment as they shut up shop as soon as they sell out.

As well as having mouth watering delicacies they are also home to Floral Menagerie my all time favourite florist. On specific days you can go in and either buy a bouquet or collect a pre-paid one when picking up your morning croissants. On top of this they also hold masterclasses together ranging from hand tying a bouquet to creating your own floral crowns, with cake obviously. Perfect.

This is definitely my new favourite bakery…see you in the queue!

The treats look heavenly! So unique too! I'll make sure to check out this place if I make my way up to Glasgow!

Hope to catch a flower crown class at some point! I live nowhere near Bakery 47, and yet make a point of heading down whenever I can. It helps that my bestie lives across the road… But their baked goods are incredible, and there was nobody better to finish off the #100cakes project.
