Gel nail varnish has been my saviour recently, the only downfall is the upkeep. There is nothing worse that outgrowing nails and it always seems to creep up on you! I’ts never ‘oh my nails are kinda growing out I think I should get them done soon’…it’s always ‘oh my god my nails look awful!’
So with the help of Tammy from Diy Nails we devised a foolproof method to make your gels last longer….glitter nail varnish. Now hear me out this may sound a little silly but it really works, we stumbled across this gem of an idea when I needed a quick touch up for an event and there was no time to do anything except paint in the gap…so the glitter filler was born! The application couldn’t be easier, I used models own (cruelty free) blizzard glitter and a nail art pen. I cleaned the brush from the nail are pen as it’s thin and really easy to use. Just dab it on where the gels have grown out, I usually do a couple of layers before I go over it with some clear varnish. Don’t be afraid to get messy! It comes off really easy with a cotton bud and some nail varnish remover.
So what do you think? Will you be trying the glitter filler?
