50 shades of grey and a duck headed umbrella

Spring has definitely sprung and with it the showers have arrived with a vengeance. I love spring, the mornings are lighter, there are tiny babies of everything running around and the flowers are starting to bloom. All the rain can’t dampen my spirits but sometimes it’s best to take extra precautions, just in case it happens to be pouring when your feeling blue. My foolproof way of avoiding the rain induced blues? Invest in an adorable umbrella! The Original Duckhead umbrella is a classic design, and it comes in a multitude of colours, of course I went for baby pink!

There is nothing like dressing for your mood and today I felt very upper east side, it’s either the cape going to my head or I’ve been watching too many Gossip Girl re-runs. I decided to layer the cape with a 3/4 sleeve faux leather jacket & a boat neck jumper. Popping a statement necklace on makes the shirt collar stand out and brings out the gold in the jumper, bag and the belt. You can’t go wrong with a pleated midi skirt, the boots are patent and have a cleated sole which make them perfect for stomping around in the rain.
