As you all know I’m a bit of a homebody. I love decorating and making my house a place that I love to spend time. We are currently redoing our bedroom and I thought I would share my homeware wishlist with you.
Ok, when I say ‘we’ I really mean me. Because in all honesty, I don’t think Rich cares all too much that we have a gallery wall or a concrete lamp in our bedroom! Since moving in I’ve wanted to change things up, we initially popped this flamingo wallpaper up and left the rest of the room white but now? Now I want a blush pink room & to change up my vintage dressing table for something a bit more modern. Something that doesn’t have stuck drawers or a mirror that needs propping up. I’ve swapped it out for this (still to be built) mini desk from Ikea. It’s small but it’s exactly what I’m looking for.
All I have to do now is decorate the rest of our room, I have so many homeware wishlists so I may actually make this a regular feature! I promise to show you guys the finished room, but for now, here is all the homeware I’m lusting after.
Jewellery storage is always a must-have, if I don’t have all of my jewellery in one place I will definitely lose it. This marble box is perfect for all the items you only wear occasionally & the gold stand is great for everyday jewellery. I’m a sucker for a metal storage box, this little pink tin is perfect for creating that little bit of extra space & will fit right onto a cute hanging shelf! Just add mini cacti & some books then you’ve got an easy & practical setup.
Now a bar cart might not be the most practical bedroom storage unit but this pink & chevron unit is possibly the most perfect thing I have ever laid eyes on! The storage inside it quite big so you could use it as a dresser or as an alternative place to keep your spare bedcovers.
Lighting is so important, who want’s to use the ‘big light’ all the time? Dotting lamps about not only adds ambience, you can use them as statement pieces! I’m Obsessed with oversized bulbs & concrete right now, can you tell? And luckily they are everywhere right now!
As our bedroom is going to be pink the green textured lamp is top of my wishlist, followed closely by the pink & neutral base and the classic concrete square. Bedside lamps I always like to have something a little taller, I love the simplistic copper design and the marble base would fit perfectly anywhere.
One of my best girls has a gallery style mirror wall in her bathroom and it looks incredible! Mixing different shapes together is key, pair this pebble-shaped mirror with this small hanging mirror & you have the start of your very own mirror wall. Circle mirrors are en vogue right now and I’m loving it.
This smaller edged mirror would be perfect for my dressing table, but if I had more space I would definitely be going for this large circle mirror. Finding a cute full-length mirror can be hard, especially if you are tight on space, luckily this one combines some hanging space too.
I love hanging art and creating gallery walls, and I’m really loving more simplistic pieces at the moment. The Face print isn’t something I would usually go for but I love the serene face. Our bedroom is full of gold highlights and this Antelope head would make the perfect addition.
Tiny Dancer is one of my favourite songs. I’d love this print but I would reframe it in something a little more neutral, or hunt for a cute vintage style frame like this one! The rose heart would go perfectly with our flamingo wallpaper & the holding hands would make a great centrepiece for the gallery wall.
Adding the finishing touches is my favourite part of decorating. I love finding all the little bits that tie a room together. Lately, I’ve been reading loads and these bookends would be the perfect way to keep my collection looking extra cute. Who doesn’t love extra pillows? Especially a boobie pillow! It’s the perfect throw pillow & you can mix & match it with patterned pillows to make more of a statement.
If I had my way my house would look like the jungle. But as our room is on the small size this tiered plant rack is the best solution, plus it’s so pretty! Unusual vases are quite hard to find and this tall pastel one is beautiful. I always have a candle, or three, burning. Boobies may be something of a theme here but you can’t go wrong with fuschia pink or a delicate cat jar. Best of all, once they are done you can wash them out and then you have cute makeup brush holders!
