It’s all about the little things

Focusing on big goals is important, but sometimes you can lose sight of the small everyday things.

The past few months have been so busy that I’ve hardly spent any time with Rich, so when we moved into our house I took the opportunity to set up a morning routine where we get to spend some time together before either heading off to work or to our respective offices in the house. So instead of feeling like ships passing in the night we spend half an hour in the morning together, making breakfast, brewing coffee, ignoring our phones & just spending time sitting at a table talking about life.

It might seem simple, or even trivial but these 30 minutes make getting up in the morning so much better, even if we just sit down for a quick coffee to go over what we each have planned for the day.

So take time to enjoy the little things; a walk with your bestie, a coffee with your other half or just a long bath all to yourself.

You can buy the DeLonghi coffee machine from the gifts for him section of Debenhams. There are so many amazing presents to spoil the man in your life, and luckily most of them can be enjoyed by you too!

I totally agree that it can be so easy to lose sight of the little things, and too have been doing a lot more to slow down. I’ve also found sitting down with a hot beverage (and sweet treat!) feels like one of the best ways to be more in tune with the everyday! 🙂

Loved this post! We’ve got a coffee machine sitting in the kitchen still not used, need to google the user manual and start using it more. The idea of sitting down in the morning with a nice coffee before getting some work done sounds blissful and would probably save a chunk of money from buying coffees on the go!
