Lightweight jackets are not often called for in Scotland, even in the height of summer. However it is a good idea to keep one around, for holidays to sunnier climes, and in the off chance it’s warm enough to wear it at home. But we both know this is no ordinary jacket but a shirt dress undone!
Stripes do seem to go with everything and pastel is no different. Wear the shirt open with the belt either tied around the back or at the waist to give a more hourglass shape. I love that the dress is longer than my pastel lace skirt, it gives the illusion that it is actually a summer jacket. Paired with a powder blue vest the high waisted shape gives the illusion of a fuller hourglass shape, that’s the dream right? Well it’s mine anyway!
I love that my textured sandals match the colour of the skirt perfectly, totally unintentional when I bought them too! The outfit would look amazing at a summer party but it wouldn’t be complete without some beautiful Bloody Mary Metal jewellery, I layered a classic longer necklace with the trinity necklace. I opted for stacked rings on one hand with two rose quartz & aquamarine crown ring’s on the other, the colours sit beautifully together.
The whole colour scheme of the outfit makes me think of Marie Antoinette, with less bustles of course! Now has anyone got any cake?
