The Selman Marrakech is a one of a kind, half luxury hotel half stables for the most magnificent Arabian horses.
Nestled in Marrakech sits the Selman hotel, with breathtaking grounds and interiors that would wow a sultan, it’s a total show stopper. They also house some world famous Arabic horses, first off I have to apologise for the lack of photos, but these horses were so beautiful I completely forgot to get more than one photo! High spirited these beauties were prancing around in their paddocks and looking down their long beautiful noses at us mere mortals! The stables here have some world champions and up an coming stars, it’s is well worth a visit just to see them, but if you can’t wait you can see and read all about them here.
The interior of the hotel is stunning with beautiful rooms and decor, think traditional Mococcan with a modern twist. The rooms are lavish and the interior’s are beautifully thought out, the corridors are seemingly endless and have mirrors placed so they actually look like they go one forever! The hotel offers various different rooms and suites, the suites are completely breathtaking with private balcony’s overlooking the grounds, if you need complete privacy they even offer private Riads for an especially secluded getaway. The grounds have to be my favourite thing about the hotel, the pool is huge and with extra tranquility pools, day beds, water features and indoor lounging areas it is incredibly relaxing, not to mention perfect for some good photo ops!
My girl Sheri & I wore our Silken Favours Kimonos, they are perfect for the Moroccan heat, made from 100% silk and made in the UK these are definitely investment pieces, I have actually never felt so glamorous!
We decided to make the most of the incredible backdrop and stopped for an impromptu photoshoot, the silk falls and moves so beautifully I really wish I had one for every day of the week, well maybe not in the Scottish winter! But thats a great excuse to chase some winter sun right? Plus a little birdie told me that there may also be a pink Pegasus kimono in the works…what could be better?!
