There’s nothing better than the realisation that it’s nearly Christmas, getting all your gifts wrapped and cosying up at home in brand new pyjamas.
Last month I headed to the new Cath Kidston store at 99 Princes Street for a Christmas shopping experience, and if anything is going to get you in the gift giving spirit it’s the new Edinburgh store! Full of stocking fillers, little add on’s and the perfect Christmas Eve Pyjamas it’s a one-stop shop for all of your Christmas needs.
In store, it was a bit of a struggle not to slip into the ‘treat yo self’ mentality, because there were SO MANY TREATS! I’m a sucker for a good print and Cath Kidson is basically print heaven, and at Christmas, it gets oh so much better. Prints on everything, just the way I like it.
When I say that Cath Kidson has something in store for everyone I’m not lying, so I’ve broken everything I got on the day down into two categories, big kids (or adults if you want to be pedantic) and little kids. If you pop into the Edinburgh store (or any Cath Kidson Store) you will find so many more presents & stocking fillers, but these were my favourites.
Now I just need to remember to give them to people and not keep them all for myself!
gifts for big kids
Shopping in the Cath Kidson store is full of Christmas magic & the sparkle everywhere certainly helps! I picked up a few Christmas gift essentials that I know I’d love to see in my stocking on Christmas morning. Who doesn’t love a Christmas jumper?! This might not strike you as being massively festive, but it’s oh so cosy and reversible, so you are basically giving two gifts in one! This little pot is actually a grow your own Parsley planter, cute gift for your bff who’s got a green finger! But even if they kill the plant, they’ll still have a super cute pot to use.
Everyone’s mum loves a new purse at Christmas so this was a no-brainer for me, I know my mummy dearest will love it, especially since it has a compartment for everything! Last but not least is a notebook with matching pen, I love the festive Devonshire Rose floral print and since some of my best girls have started new jobs it’ll be a hard choice on who to give this little set to…or I could just keep it…
gifts for little kids
In all honesty, this little sparkly satchel is allllllll mine. I mean I couldn’t not keep it right?! It would make an excellent gift, but it fits so perfectly into my wardrobe that it would be offensive not to keep it. Now that I’m done with justifying treating myself over the festive period we can get back to gift guides.
Cath Kidson does children’s gifting so well that I got a little overwhelmed, I nearly walked out with the whole shop! The clothing is not only adorable it also clashes prints, very fashun dahling. I had to pick up this cute long sleeved top for my little niece, and as far as I’m concerned you can’t buy kids clothes without throwing a toy in there too so I grabbed this adorable crochet elephant too.
gifts for everyone
As far as I’m concerned Christmas isn’t Christmas without some games! And a party game is definitely a gift for everyone. The new range has vintage style games in the classic Cath Kidson button spot and I just can’t get enough of them. They are so beautifully packaged and the contents are even better, if that’s even possible! Pop these into a stocking or better yet, turn up at your Christmas party with a couple and get the festivities started.
Shop everything here, and remember to try and relax in the run-up to Christmas!
