Harris Tweed is timeless, but can it update the skirt suit?
A skirt suit instantly makes me think of 80’s power dressing, I love the concept of power dressing, and dressing for the job you want not the job you have. However, Skirt Suits run the risk of being dowdy, or just plain boring. Walker Slater has given the silhouette a much-needed update with an injection of Harris Tweed.
Harris Tweed has been woven in Scotland for hundreds of Years, and is a massive part of Scottish Heritage. The orb is Iconic and instantly recognisable, the fabric is used by a multitude of designers all over the world, most notably Vivienne Westwood, Yves Saint Laurent, Chanel & Alexander McQueen. Famed for it’s durability and versatility, the fabric is worn by everyone from farmers to royalty, and everyone else in between.
Channelling my inner Working Girl I headed out in Mayfair at 9am, after all, the early bird catches the worm! I wanted to add a fun twist on the suit, so I paired it with my Sophia Webster pumps, some ankle socks & a statement faux fur bag. Think I’d fit in on Wall Street?

You look fabulous! Great inspiration for us working girls who still want to express our individual style in the corporate London world! Please do more collaborations like this, you giving me ideas of where to get my next suit and how to style it with a twist!
Thank you lovely! I really enjoyed styling this, something different but still quirky.xxx
Uu, I love Sophia Webster pumps, and those look gorgeous. Did not think they would work with socks, but they look great on you!
