It’s finally time to bust out those peep toes and sling backs! Spring has finally sprung and not a moment too soon. It may still be grey skies with a little sun but the temperature is certainly going up and I couldn’t resist bringing my polka dot Sophia Websters out to play for the first time this year.
I finally understand how most Londoners look flawless and amazing constantly…SAMPLE SALES! This is a phenomenon that rarely makes it’s way to Scotland an let me tell you it is sorely missed. The last time I was in London I went to the House of Hackney and the Sophia Webster sample sales and whilst I spent nearly £300 if I had bought full price my items would have come to well over £1500, insane right?! So how do we fix this? Well sale shopping is always a good opportunity to bag something you can’t afford full price so make sure you sign up to the brands you love newsletters as they will usually give you a hint at when sale is coming or sometimes even first pick and more than likely you will get discount just for signing up. Or there is a little jaunt to London when you hear about a sample sale you just NEED to go to!
I decided to go for a toned down look with a baby pink cable knit jumper and vintage leather jacket, paired with diy distressed jeans and a little polkadot clutch. I’m so in love with these jeans at the moment, there’s nothing more satisfying than getting the bleach*, scissors and cheese grater out and creating a one off pair of jeans! Plus they go with everything so it’s hard not to just wear them everyday! I’ll need to distress another pair, would you guys like a tutorial post or a video?
*If you do decide to DIY distressed jeans remember to use a brand that doesn’t test on animals, such as Tesco own brand or Astonish.

Loving the bag!!
Ok, so make sure you use dye thats not tested on animals whilst you parade around in a leather jacket???
You're still wearing leather though! You really think that makes a difference because its vintage?! It was still an animal!
Yes I do, I haven't contributed to the animal being killed for its skin by buying new leather. Sorry that's not good enough for you.
It was still an animal though!! Whether you paid for it or not is totally irrelevant! You immediately slated my friend for buying a foundation but your behaviour is ok?!
Seriously? Youve been having a go at me because I told Jennifer that the foundation she bought was tested on animals? And I didn't slate her, I was letting her know, oh and I actually really like Jennifer and would also call her my friend but you know what your completely right, I shouldn't try and inform anyone of animal cruelty let alone tell my friends who love animals that their make up was tested on one, in fact I think I'll start eating meat and kicking kittens down the street. you should probably take a good hard look at your own behaviour before attacking someone for trying to let people know about animal cruelty. Have a lovely night.
