Ain’t no Party like a Gin Club Party

June 10, 2015
Nestled just off the Finneston strip in Glasgow  are a little collection of studios, workshops and galleries.

It is also home to the Hidden Lane Tea room which plays host to the Gin Club every (ish) month. Now I know what your thinking, you can buy gin anywhere BUT you won’t get the same experience anywhere else and let’s be honest unless you ask for a specific gin in a bar they are more than likely to serve you Gordon’s….and that’s just boring! When you first arrive you are given tokens and a menu, on the menu is the three gin cocktails you will be trying so you can use your tokens to get them in the order you like, there is no formality so you don’t have to go in order! More often than not the actual brand reps for the gin companies will be there so you can ask questions or they can tell you how they started, I found my new favourite gin (the botanist) this way!
There’s nothing like getting dressed up for a birthday party and this was a great excuse to wear my new unicorn dress from Tallulah’s Threads, it reminds me of my favourite scene in Fantasia with the flying horses and waterfalls. Since it’s pastel and cream it goes with pretty much everything! It was a little chilly so I popped a mint shirt underneath and belted it at the waist to prevent unwanted breezes. My customised mint denim jacket gives a little edge to an overly cutsey outfit. For accessories I decided to team it with my baby blue brogues and little cloud clutch bag from ASOS because it’s too adorable not to wear with everything. I am loving wearing all shades of pastel together at the moment, definitely my go to look for the summer!
