What’s in my handbag – LaBante London

January 22, 2016

what's in my handbag

It’s been quite a while since I’ve written a ‘what’s in my handbag’ post.

But I thought I’d give you a little update as I’ve got some new cute accessories! But before we dive into what’s in my handbag, we need to talk about my bag.

This beautiful vegan bag is from LaBante London and you wouldn’t be judged for thinking it’s leather, the fabric is so soft and supple. I love the cream colour (can you believe I didn’t own a cream bag till now!) but the main reason I picked the Diana bag is that 10% of all profits go to Too Young To Wed. This charity helps support local organisations to delay and eventually end child marriage and helps children to reach their full potential, so a good deed & a new handbag, not too bad right?

I change bag quite regularly so I manage to avoid loads of random receipts & general mess. I do always have random business cards & antihistamines floating about my bag though. I am allergic to pineapples so the antihistamines are a ‘just in case’ scenario…like when I was on the flight to go on my honeymoon and the waitress gave me pineapple juice instead of orange juice… but we won’t go into that right now!

I must admit I am a sucker for lipstick, I can’t leave the house without at least two and I have been known to have more than 6 in my bag at any one time…what can I say I like to have a choice! My three favourites at the moment are Manic Panic in Hot as Hell, Lush in Passionate & Kiko in Innocent Sangria. I also can’t leave the house without a book, no one wants to get stuck somewhere and have nothing to do. My choice at the moment is Girl Boss by Sophia Amoruso (chewed by one of the dogs obviously). I love that it’s so motivating without feeling preachy, plus the case studies are quite short so it’s good for keeping distracted on the train or the tube.

Living in Scotland moisturising is a must, especially your hands in winter, the Davines oi hand balm is really nourishing and it sinks in really fast so you’re not left with weird sticky or slippery hands. Like most of my friends, I can’t leave the house without a little bottle of perfume in my bag, although to be honest one spray of this is usually enough for the whole day! Eden Perfumes are 100% vegan and they match up scents to designer perfumes, I wear 470 as it smells exactly like Tobacco Vanille from Tom Ford. You guys know I’m not one for rip-offs but as it’s nearly impossible to get a vegan perfume I’m all for it.

Since getting my Olympus pen camera I’ve been lusting after the 45mm lens, luckily the boy did good this Christmas and I feel like I’ve barely put my camera down! I am becoming a little obsessed with phone cases and when I managed to get my hands on this one off Kewpie phone case from Abandon Ship I was over the moon, now they just need to do a not everything sucks phone case and I’m set. If you ask any of my friends they will tell you I am useless without a diary, I seriously wouldn’t know where I was without it, I really like the filofax organisers as they have so much more than just a week to week, it’s like a notebook and diary all in one. Catherine Aitken has always been an accessory designer to watch so when this little fluffy number arrived for christmas I was over the moon! Small but like Mary Poppins bag it fits so much in it, cards, coins & notes but remember not to overstuff as the silk lining is still quite delicate.

So there you have it, my ‘what’s in my handbag’ post! So now I have to ask….what’s in yours?
